About NDG Community Council

Walk. Ride. Donate. Together, let's give every child in NDG the opportunity to thrive.

The NDG Community Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, with a particular focus on supporting our community's most vulnerable residents.

This year, we're proud to return to the Ride for Refuge on Saturday, October 3rd, raising funds for NDG after-school programs serving children and youth ages 5–17.

For years, community centres have provided safe spaces for homework help, healthy snacks, sports, arts, and recreation. These programs are especially important for families facing financial or language barriers.

Unfortunately, funding is no longer available, putting these programs at risk and leaving hundreds of young people without the support they rely on.

Every child deserves a safe place to go after school. Join us, donate, or share our campaign! Together, we can keep NDG strong, connected, and full of opportunity.

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Early October weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
